Exemption ARTICLE 8- (1) Students required to enroll in the compulsory preparatory class shall be deemed exempt from the foreign language preparatory class if they meet at least one of the following conditions: a) Those who achieve the score determined by the School Board in the multi-stage proficiency exam—administered by the School of Foreign Languages at the beginning of the academic year—which measures all language skills. b) Students who have successfully completed foreign language preparatory training at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University or another higher education institution within the last five years and can document this at the CEFR level determined by the School Board. c) Students who, within the last five years, have obtained the scores determined by the School Board in international exams recognized by YÖK (such as TOEFL, etc.) that measure reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression, and speaking skills. d) Students who have obtained a score of 70 or higher in the YDS/YÖKDİL/e-YDS (English) exams administered within the last five years shall be deemed exempt from preparatory class training.
